E-books are a surprisingly popular format for online writing. The simple fact is that pretty much anyone can turn a word processing document into a PDF and market it as an e-book. Of course, printing a Microsoft Word file that rambles on about something random to PDF doesn’t actually guarantee that the resulting e-book will ever be read.
There are some truly great e-books out there that are worth a read. Their creators have gone to the effort of designing an easy to read book, possibly explored making it useful on an iPhone or e-book reader, that sort of thing. But finding examples of those books when you’re putting together an e-book of your own can be tough. With that in mind, I’m planning a series of e-book reviews.
I have a few great (and not so great) e-books in mind to review. But if you have an e-book you’ve written that you’d like me to review, I hope you’ll let me know about it. And if there’s just an e-book that you want a second opinion on whether to hold up as an example, you can probably get me to review that too. Comment or email me!
